Here’s what you need to understand; Oliver, Colbert, Conan, Fallon, and those other guys, all of them – they’ll push you towards Biden, they’ll make jokes about Bernie, and they’ll portray him as the interesting but unelectable candidate. They all pretend to be edgy and liberal, but they all tow the DNC line. This is why they punched down at the greens when Clinton was running. This is why they will never help you escape the two-party yoke. They’ll joke a little less about Biden but then try to tell you he’s your best shot at beating Trump cause the ‘other guy’ is too crazy, that too many people would be scared to vote for him. That the other guy would certainly lose. Little by little, they’ll try to persuade you that the ‘reasonable’ choice, the ‘wise’ choice, is to go for Biden.
When this happens, you should remember Kafka’s A Little Fable:
“Alas,” said the mouse, “the world gets smaller every day. At first, it was so wide that I ran along and was happy to see walls appearing to my right and left, but these high walls converged so quickly that I’m already in the last room, and there in the corner is the trap into which I must run.”
“But you’ve only got to run the other way,” said the cat, and ate it.
