A Tiny Bit of Boycott History…

Most people seem to dismiss boycotts as ineffectual, a quick look at the history of Coca-Cola and Pepsi in the Middle East seems to indicate that we have been led to sorely underestimate the purchasing power we wield when we act en masse.

Take a look, you might want to reconsider your attitude.

If you keep wondering what you can do, well, stupid as it sounds:

Start with the basics.

  1. This is a bit ‘hors-sujet’ but :

It’s easy to do so with Coke here in France. We have Mecca Cola, Breizh Cola, El-Che Cola…and their taste is quite similar to the genuine Coke (well I think so, I’m not exactly an expert).

But if it comes to buying tennis shoes for instance, I’ve been boycotting Nike, Puma, Reebok etc. for years now, but I’m really not sure the unbranded shoes I purchase instead are more ‘ethically correct’.

So what can I do ?
