What I Just Don’t Get…

Weekly Review (Harpers.org): “A study showed that the world military budget was about $1,035,000,000,000 in 2004; the United States accounted for nearly half of that.”

Now, if HALF that money were spent on supplying food, water, and health, and various other assorted paraphenalia of happiness – does anybody out there really think we’d still have wars – whether formal (see U.N.) or informal (see Al-Qaeda) ?

Oh, well.
